In 1975 at 68 years old he visited Morocco where the head of the Royal Guard challenged him. The fight lasted only seconds. Chang knocked him unconscious with "just a slap".
He taught at the Taiwan Police Academy for 30 years. He stopped teaching individuals until he met Gene Chicoine. He said he had a dream once that he would teach a Caucasian one day. Chicoine became his 13th Disciple and "Adopted Son".
Chang came to America in 1982 and held seminars in a few states. He worked with the students at Ho Chun as much as possible in his busy schedule.
Chang died June 18, 1986 at 78 years old. He is considered by most martial artists in Taiwan to be the greatest martial artist in the last 300 years. It is said he took 60% of the martial arts knowledge with him when he passed away.
